Judicial Watch Just Released Smoking Gun Emails Tying Obama’s State Department to Steele Dossier

https://ift.tt/2y2zMUU Elder Patriot’s Opinion| Judicial Watch has released a new batch of documents that were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that was originally filed on April 25, 2018. The lawsuit was filed against the State Department after it failed to respond to three separate FOIA requests (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State(No. 1:18-cv- 00968)). Trending: DNC Raised A Whopping $8.5 Million Dollars In June, Take A Look At How Much The GOP Raised The Daily Caller News Foundation joined Judicial Watch as claimants in the lawsuit. (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch and The Daily Caller News Foundation today released 84 pages of documents, including a September 2016 email exchange between then-Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Special Coordinator for Libya Jonathan Winer, a close associate of dossier author Christopher Steele, discussing a “face-to-face” meeting on a “Russian matter.” (In June 2016 Nuland permitted a meeting between Steele and the FBI’s legal attaché in Rome. Nuland told CBS News that the State Department knew about the Steele dossier by July 2016.) According to an op-ed Winer wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, also in September 2016, “Steele and I met in Washington and discussed the information now known as the “dossier… I prepared a two-page summary and shared it with Nuland, who indicated that, like me, she felt that the secretary of state needed to be made aware of this material.” A September 17, 2016, email exchange between Nuland and Winer – that was classified in the interest of national defense or foreign policy – discusses the political situation in Libya, but also brings up a “Russian matter:” From: Winer, Jonathan Sent: September 17, 2016 at 12:40:00 PM EDT To: Nuland, Victoria J Subject: Re: Libya Update Would like to discuss this and a Russian matter. From: Nuland, Victoria J Sent: Saturday, September 17, 2016 1:31 PM To: Winer, Jonathan Subject: Re. Libya Update In ny face to face? From: Winer, Jonathan Sent: September 17, 2016 at 1:56:05 PM EDT To: Nuland, Victoria J Subject: Re: Libya Update Yes that was [sic] be good. From: Nuland, Victoria J Sent: Saturday, September 17, 2016 1:58 PM To: Winer, Jonathan Subject: Re. Libya Update Good. I’ll reach out when im there Sunday. [Redacted] At that time we opined that Winer was using the February 8, 2018 op-ed as a CYA to mitigate the corrupt intent of his involvement with Steele. Nothing we’ve learned since changes that assessment. These emails only add to the record tying Obama State Department officials to attempts to advance the Russiagate hoax just prior to the 2016 presidential election. Other evidence came from: The previous release by JW of 16 pages of documents revealing that Nuland and Winer coordinated with then-House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s (D-MD) national security advisor Daniel Silverberg to work on Russia dossier materials provided by Christopher Steele. Previously released documents, also by JW, revealing that Nuland was involved in the Obama State Department’s urgent gathering of classified Russia investigation information and disseminating it to members of Congress within hours of Donald Trump taking office. Judicial Watch recently released 41 pages of documents from the State Department revealing that Winer, played a key role in facilitating Steele’s access to other top government officials, prominent international business executives. Winer was even approached by a movie producer about making a movie about the Russiagate targeting of President Trump. While JW has clearly established that Winer was working with Steele and Clinton associate Sidney Blumenthal (aka Sid Vicious for his pechant for dirty tricks) to circulate the anti-Trump dossier it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to believe that President Obama knew nothing about any of this. Richard ''Gelly'' Gelemanovic had broad shoulders and a confident gait, while his companion, convicted heroin trafficker Amad ''Jay'' Malkoun, had a physique honed during his 16-year stint in prison. It was July 3, 2003, and Malkoun was recently out of jail, having gained public notoriety after being charged in 1988 as a key player in the state's biggest drug syndicate, which had been busted with $5.5 million of heroin. Amad 'Jay' Malkoun was described by police as 'a powerful standover man'. The federal police who were secretly watching Malkoun at Melbourne's international airport described him in a report as ''a powerful stand-over man … actively involved in the Melbourne drug trade''. The profession of his travelling companion, the man Jay called ...

Turkish intelligence agency MIT got away with illegal wiretapping of prominent journalist - Nordic Monitor

https://ift.tt/2ZRtSmM A panel of judges acquitted Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) of falsifying documents in order to illegally wiretap the telephone of Turkish journalist, academic and author Mehmet Hasan Altan. According to documents obtained by Nordic Monitor, the intelligence agency falsified the legal briefs submitted to the court to secure authorization for the wiretapping of Altan’s two mobile phones on October 30, 2008. In its brief MIT claimed that it wanted to identify an international espionage network and terrorist activities and listed Altan as a suspect under the fake code name “pastor.” The Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court judge approved the request without knowing that the suspect mentioned by MIT was actually a prominent journalist. MIT requested an extension of the wiretap on February 9, 2009 from a judge at the the 11th High Criminal Court and a second extension on May 8, 2009 from the 14th High Criminal Court. Both requests were approved. MIT fil...
